After months of project proposal writing and reaching out to potential partners in North America and Norway, AlaskaNor officially started on September 11, 2018 when most of the Norwegian partners met at the High North Center in Bodø.
The meeting was introduced by Frode Mellemvik, Director of the High North Center and AlaskaNor's Project Leader, Andreas Raspotnik. Afterwards, WP5-leader Andreas Østhagen (Fridtjof Nansen Institute) presented on the structure and making of AlaskaNor and Elena Zhurova gave a detailed presentation on the project's budget and deliverables.
