AlaskaNor Breakout Session @ HND22

From AlaskaNor to ArcBlue – Fisheries and Aquaculture in the Arctic

About a month ago, we published our second AlaskaNor report, titled "Blue Fisheries and Aquaculture: Fisheries and Aquaculture in Alaska and North Norway". At this year's High North Dialogue 2022, we discussed our findings and the future of Alaska's and North Norway's fishing and aquaculture industries with representatives from both Arctic regions, including Alaska's current Lieutenant Governor Kevin Meyer.

Our discussion was kicked off by a presentation of one the report's lead authors, Apostolos Tsiouvalas from The Arctic Institute, followed by interventions from Ian Laing (Institute of the North) and Geir Hønneland (Fridtjof Nansen Institute) with both highlighting current insights on developments in Alaska and North Norway.
